Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented drywall installer/finisher to handle a variety of residential and light commercial projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys flexible hours, working independently, and taking pride in high-quality finished work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hang, tape, mud, and finish drywall to a professional standard
  • Patch and repair drywall (holes, water damage, texture matching)
  • Match existing textures (orange peel, knockdown, smooth finish, etc.)
  • Prepare surfaces for finishing, including sanding and smoothing
  • Install corner bead and ensure clean, straight edges
  • Protect surrounding areas using plastic, drop cloths, and masking
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Communicate clearly with customers and team members
  • Ensure jobs are completed on schedule and to company standards
Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Ability to match textures and deliver paint-ready finishes
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Reliable transportation capable of hauling tools and materials
  • Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and clean driving record
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must pass a background check
Physical Demands:

  • Occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, pull, or move materials
  • Ability to hang and finish drywall overhead and on ladders
  • Climbing stairs and ladders using proper safety measures
  • Bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and standing for extended periods
  • Follow worksite safety and cleanliness protocols
Work Environment:

  • Indoor and outdoor job sites depending on project
  • Exposure to dust, cold or hot weather, and humid conditions
  • Moderate noise from tools and equipment
Compensation: $30.00 per hour

Many of our Craftsmen are former business owners themselves and after working for an Ace Handyman Services local office, even for a short time, they have no desire to be out on their own or operating their small businesses any longer.
