The ideal Craftsman candidate will possess a good overall knowledge of Carpentry, with the following additional qualifications for this Role:

Proper Equipment:
Not necessarily having every tool, but knowing what tools are needed for certain tasks.

Troubleshooting Skills:
Must be a quick thinker, able to examine issues and resolve them in a prompt and professional manner.

Excellent Communication Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively with Management, Office Personnel, Fellow Craftsmen, Homeowners, Suppliers, Property Managers and Commercial Customers.

Be Presentable:
Clean-cut and professional appearance
Clean vehicle
Organized tools

Other:
  • Work well as OneTeam with General Manager and Office Manager to enhance the customer experience. 
  • Demonstrates ability and willingness to EXCEED Customers' expectations.
  • Think long term about the customer relationship, so look around the property and communicate to the customer things you could repair while you are already there. 
  • Take the time to earn trust with customer, and inquire about additional work that could be performed.
  • When in customers home, take the time to fix something small and then point it out to the customer to help them understand that we are capable of doing more.
  • Someone who is punctual and efficient maintains the highest integrity and strives for top customer satisfaction.

Ace Handyman Services’ work itself is often indoors in temperature-controlled environments, and is primarily of lighter-duty than new construction projects.  There are Franchise Owners and Office Managers to assist with the day-to-day operations and administrative side of the business allowing our Craftsmen to focus on the tasks at-hand and provide our customers with professional services that delight our customers.  Our Franchise Owners are successful, business-savvy individuals, who are ethical and treat their Staff like Family. The safety and well-being of TEAM members is a top priority. Many of our Craftsmen are former business owners themselves and after working for an Ace Handyman Services local office, even for a short time, they have no desire to be out on their own or operating their small businesses any longer.
