Ace Handyman Services – a Mast & Maine company – is hiring a full-time Craftsman Apprentice to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role designed for someone ready to work with their hands, support experienced field techs, and eventually grow into a fully billable Craftsman role.

You’ll handle solo service jobs like power washing, basic painting, and AC installs, while also serving as a second set of hands on larger projects — assisting our senior team in the field and learning real skills every day.

🔨 What You’ll Do

Independent Work (25 hrs/week):
  • Power washing, yard cleanup, window/gutter cleaning
  • Furniture assembly, light painting, AC unit installs
  • Drive to customer homes, track work via mobile app
Team Support (10–15 hrs/week):
  • Assist senior Craftsmen with material handling, demo, prep work
  • Run errands, pick up supplies, and support jobsite efficiency
  • Learn on the job in multiple trades (carpentry, drywall, tile, etc.)
Training & Admin (5 hrs/week):
  • Paid learning and tool training
  • Help with light shop or van organization
  • Participate in team meetings and safety huddles
✅ Requirements
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work indoors/outdoors
  • Experience with hand tools a plus, but not required
  • Must pass background check

For example, they are in charge of their own job sites, and given the freedom to interact directly with Homeowners and Property Managers to suggest work that will improve safety, preserve their largest investment, and truly help them to love their homes and commercial buildings.

Ace Handyman Services’ work itself is often indoors in temperature-controlled environments, and is primarily of lighter-duty than new construction projects.  There are Franchise Owners and Office Managers to assist with the day-to-day operations and administrative side of the business allowing our Craftsmen to focus on the tasks at-hand and provide our customers with professional services that delight our customers.  Our Franchise Owners are successful, business-savvy individuals, who are ethical and treat their Staff like Family. The safety and well-being of TEAM members is a top priority. Many of our Craftsmen are former business owners themselves and after working for an Ace Handyman Services local office, even for a short time, they have no desire to be out on their own or operating their small businesses any longer.
