We’re a locally owned business backed by the trusted Ace Hardware brand, and we’re looking for an experienced Craftsman to join our team. We specialize in home and light commercial repairs and improvements, and we're hiring someone who is unfailingly reliable, punctual, and refuses to take shortcuts.

What We’re Looking For:

Are you a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience across at least 6 trades? Do you take pride in doing the job right, every time — and enjoy interacting with customers as much as working with your hands?

We're looking for someone who is:
  • Highly experienced in 6+ trades, such as carpentry, drywall, tile, flooring, painting, electrical (out of wall), plumbing (light), masonry, concrete, windows and doors, siding, general home repairs.
  • Excellent at customer service — you’ll represent our brand with every visit
  • Comfortable managing and adjusting customer expectations when timelines shift
  •  Punctual, reliable, and committed to quality — no exceptions
  • Organized, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented
  • Able to safely handle ladders and heights up to three stories
Must-Haves:
  • Reliable and professional-looking work vehicle
  • Your own tools
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Commitment to doing things the right way 
Service Area:
Our core service territory is the Ocean City area, but also includes Cambridge, MD, Salisbury, and lower Sussex County, Delaware.

Compensation & Perks:

  • $25–$32/hour, depending on experience and performance - Top craftsmen who upsell regularly earn up to $51/hour
  • Per-job travel stipend
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm — No weekend work
  • W-2 position with flexibility and independence
  • Performance bonuses
  • Paid time off (PTO)
  • Company-paid AFLAC coverage after 3 months, with optional add-ons

Ace Handyman Services Craftsmen are empowered and given much more flexibility than others in our industry. For example, they are in charge of their own job sites, and given the freedom to interact directly with Homeowners and Property Managers to suggest work that will improve safety, preserve their largest investment, and truly help them to love their homes and commercial buildings.

Ace Handyman Services’ work itself is often indoors in temperature-controlled environments, and is primarily of lighter-duty than new construction projects.  There are Franchise Owners and Office Managers to assist with the day-to-day operations and administrative side of the business allowing our Craftsmen to focus on the tasks at-hand and provide our customers with professional services that delight our customers.  Our Franchise Owners are successful, business-savvy individuals, who are ethical and treat their Staff like Family. The safety and well-being of TEAM members is a top priority. Many of our Craftsmen are former business owners themselves and after working for an Ace Handyman Services local office, even for a short time, they have no desire to be out on their own or operating their small businesses any longer.
