Job Type: Full-Time (W-2)
Compensation: $28–$32/hour + Bonuses + $1,500 Sign-On Bonus


🔹 Why This Role?
Ace Handyman Services is expanding north — and we need a reliable, multi-skilled Craftsman to anchor our work in the Portland → Brunswick corridor. You’ll work independently on small- to mid-sized home repair and improvement jobs with full office support — no chasing leads, quoting work, or managing customer scheduling.

This is not construction — it’s a stable, full-time role focused on residential repair and renovation with a growth path to Lead Craftsman within 6 months.


🔹 What You’ll Do
  • Complete a wide variety of jobs including:
  • 🪚 Carpentry, drywall, painting
  • 🚪 Doors/windows, tile work
  • 💧 Light plumbing and electrical
  • Work independently across Cumberland County (Portland to Brunswick)
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers
  • Use our mobile app (ServiceTitan) to manage time, materials, and job status
  • Expand job scope when appropriate (goal: 6 out of 10 jobs)
  • Maintain clean, safe, organized work areas and company standards

🔹 What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in home improvement, repair, or residential carpentry
  • Strong generalist skills across multiple trades
  • Own hand/power tools and reliable work vehicle (van/truck preferred)
  • Based in or near Portland, Westbrook, Gray, Falmouth, Brunswick
  • Professional appearance, strong work ethic, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Comfortable using mobile apps for job tracking
  • Valid driver’s license and clean background
🔹 Growth Track – Lead Craftsman
We’re looking for someone ready to step into a Lead Craftsman role within 6 months. You’ll help drive our northern service operations by:
  • Mentoring apprentices/helpers
  • Expanding scope of work and upselling appropriately
  • Overseeing quality and materials readiness
  • Supporting field team recruitment and training
  • Acting as a key liaison between field and office

Ace Handyman Services’ work itself is often indoors in temperature-controlled environments, and is primarily of lighter-duty than new construction projects.  There are Franchise Owners and Office Managers to assist with the day-to-day operations and administrative side of the business allowing our Craftsmen to focus on the tasks at-hand and provide our customers with professional services that delight our customers.  Our Franchise Owners are successful, business-savvy individuals, who are ethical and treat their Staff like Family. The safety and well-being of TEAM members is a top priority. Many of our Craftsmen are former business owners themselves and after working for an Ace Handyman Services local office, even for a short time, they have no desire to be out on their own or operating their small businesses any longer.
